Overview

Wizard ToolZ (“the app”) is published by Richard Detore / Electric Shark Tattoo. This policy describes how the app handles information when you use it on iPhone, iPad, or other supported Apple platforms, and how this marketing website works.

Wizard ToolZ does not sell personal information and does not run advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs in the app. There is no Wizard ToolZ account and no company-held analytics tied to your identity.

This website

The public Wizard ToolZ website is a static marketing site hosted by Netlify. Like most hosts, Netlify may keep routine server logs (for example IP address, user agent, and pages requested) for security and operations. We do not run advertising analytics scripts on these pages.

Pages may load fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser then contacts Google to fetch those files; that can include your IP address and the page Referer. We are working toward self-hosting fonts so that request is unnecessary.

Contact links use mailto to electricsharktattoo@gmail.com. Email you send is handled like ordinary email.

Data stays on your device

Photos, camera video, microphone audio, speech input, and other content you use with the tools are processed on your device unless you explicitly save or share something through Apple system features (for example the photo library, share sheet, AirDrop, or clipboard).

Stencil sessions, reference stacks, portfolio sessions, and similar tool state are stored locally on your device.

Permissions we request

The app requests Apple system permissions only for features that need them:

• Camera — live value study (Light Spell), reference capture, Chroma Hex, and Stencil Engine.
• Photo Library — import references and save exports when you choose.
• Microphone — Machine Tuner frequency reads and optional voice control in Looking Glass.
• Speech Recognition — Looking Glass voice commands. When your device supports it, recognition is required to stay on-device. If on-device speech is unavailable, voice control will not start (we do not fall back to cloud speech).
• Face ID / device passcode — artist exit from Grimoire lobby display.
• Local Network — Grimoire only: a short-lived preview server on your shop Wi-Fi so clients can open a QR-linked preview in Safari. Links include an unguessable path token. Anyone else on that same Wi-Fi who obtains the link could view the preview until it expires. Portfolio images are not uploaded to Electric Shark Tattoo servers.

You can revoke permissions anytime in Settings → Wizard ToolZ.

Grimoire and local network

When you run Grimoire lobby display, the app may share a compressed portfolio preview on your local Wi-Fi network so walk-in clients can scan a QR code and view work in Safari on their own phone.

That traffic stays on your shop network and uses cleartext HTTP on the LAN (typical for local kiosk previews). Treat shop Wi-Fi as trusted for the session length, or stop sharing when you are done. We do not receive those images on our servers.

Spellbook subscription and payments

Wizard ToolZ may offer an optional auto-renewable Spellbook subscription (monthly, six-month, or annual plans). Spellbook Monthly includes a 2-week free trial for eligible new subscribers; after the trial, billing continues at the monthly price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Payment is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Subscription status is verified through Apple StoreKit on your device. Offer codes and promotional access are also redeemed through Apple’s official sheets.

What we do not do

• No advertising networks or cross-app tracking.
• No sale of personal data.
• No cloud upload of your tattoo references, camera feed, or microphone audio to Wizard ToolZ servers.
• No requirement to create a Wizard ToolZ login.

Children

Wizard ToolZ is a professional artist utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
